Citi has established a centralized Client organization and strategy to strengthen how we deliver for clients across the bank and ensure that we deliver Citi in a consistent and disciplined way through a centralized view of our client strategy, segmentation, and coverage model.  Citi’s clients and customers are at the center of delivering our strategy.  The Client Data Governance Office drives the planning and oversight for the adoption of Citi’s data policy and standards to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and governance across the areas within the Client organization including resources management, credit management, research, marketing and content, coverage alignment, and client data.  In the Client Data Governance Office, the Central Reporting & Oversight Lead establishes program governance, monitoring, tracking and reporting of Consent Order deliverables and commitments across the Client organization.

The Client Data Governance Office - Central Reporting & Oversight Lead is a senior level role responsible for facilitating all aspects of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. This role is responsible for defining the enterprise data governance strategy and/or Data Risk and Controls framework and roadmap, including alignment with related enterprise-wide and business/function/region data governance documentation. Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.


Responsibilities:

  • 'Provides oversight and governance to Consent Order deliverables including Use Case Data Operating Model Adoption, Booking Controls and Operations Controls, EUCs, and MTP Reduction/STP Improvements (as applicable)
  • Provides input into business cases to ensure the Client org prioritizes data quality management activities and coordinates, manages, and drives projects related to data quality, including identifying business requirements, establishing priorities, tracking projects to completion, and evaluating results.
  • Partners with Client Product and Data Owners to identify CEAM business processes with the associated controls, and ensures that business processes are maintained and updated as changes occur
  • Identifies personnel required to take required data and regulatory training.
  • Integrates and aligns functions, lines of business, and regional data roadmaps into an enterprise data roadmap to deliver on the prioritized scope.
  • Provides advisory services to functions, lines of business and regions on prioritization and requirements as needed.
  • Analyzes and identifies overlapping initiatives to resolve duplication of effort. 
  • Partners with CDO Function Heads to develop capability maturity framework.
  • Liaises with metrics team to articulate clear requirements for objective measures necessary to support Data Governance storylines with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
  • Banking, Financial Services experience and Regulatory knowledge required.
  • Strong Data Governance, Data Sources, Data Insights knowledge
  • Project and Change Management experience (involving Data)
  • General understanding of relevant banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large financial institutions strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms
  • Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, or working on large, strategic cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrates leadership in operational management.
  • Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management.
  • Experience leveraging glossary, lineage, and data quality tools to drive governance.
  • Clearly demonstrates impactful communication, influencing and facilitation skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Demonstrates ability to balance between seeing the big picture while paying close attention to detail.
  • General understanding of relevant banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large financial institutions strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Data Operating Model practices, Data Governance and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms
  • Outstanding executive communications skills
  • Demonstrated facility to interact and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lead projects with multiple counterparts across organizations.
  • Working knowledge of Citi’s Data Operating Model

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
